SAMBA, Mar 4: The inauguration ceremony of memorial gate and statue of martyred soldier Ram Singh Salathia was organized with great prompt by Group Centre, CRPF, Bantalab, here.
Soldier Ram Singh Salathia, who attained martyrdom while fighting on 27 September 2011 during the operation conducted by the 207 Cobra Battalion, Keripubal against the Maoists in the Aman village of Mahtand Dhanan area of Bokaro District of Jharkhand, that the martyrdom was to be in future of ages.
Memorial gate and statue was inaugurated by the mother of martyr Shreshta Devi and father Mohinder Singh.
During the ceremony, Rajendra Prasad, DIG, GC CRPF, Bantalab, Jammu honoured martyred Ram Singh Salathia’s mother Shreshta Devi and father Mohinder Singh by presenting the shawls.
Prem Chandra Gupta, Commandant, Group Centre, CRPF Bantalab, Lovekaran Singh, SDPO, Samba, Varun Vaid, Assistant Commandant and other close relatives of the Shaheed Ram Singh Salathia were also present in the ceremony.
Ceremony forum was moderated by Ajay Sharma, Assistant Commandant, Group Centre CRPF, Bantalab.
During the inauguration ceremony of memorial gate and statue of martyred Ram Singh Salathia, the special guard saluted the martyred with a mourning deal. All the officers and members present there paid homage to Shaheed Ram Singh Salathia by holding two minutes silence.
The mother and father of martyred jointly inaugurated the statue by garlanding the statue of Ram Singh Salathia.
All the gazetted officers and jawans paid homage to Shaheed Ram Singh Salathia.
During the inauguration program, Rajendra Prasad, DIG, GC CRPF, Bantalab, Jammu gave detailed information about martyrdom of Shaheed Ram Singh Salathia.
The programme was organized under the leadership of Rajendra Prasad, DIG, GC CRPF, Bantalab, Jammu, in which PC Gupta, Commandant, Rajesh Kumar Deputy Commandant, Ajay Sharma Assistant Commandant, Varun Vaid Assistant Commandant and other Gazetted Officers, Subordinate Officers and jawans also lend their support.
