Srinagar, Dec 5: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) trooper was today critically injured after he shot himself in Srinagar’s Wazir Bagh today.
Officials said that the trooper has been identified as Constable Yogesh Kumar (33) who has shot himself and was injured grievously.
“He fired himself with his service rifle at the camp in Wazir Bagh area,” an official said, adding that he was immediately shifted to SMHS Srinagar in critical condition.
While the reason behind taking the extreme step was not known yet, a case has been registered in this regard.
