CRPF jawan stabs shopkeeper with scissors

JAMMU, Oct 7: A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel today stabbed a shopkeeper with scissors at Upper Gumat area of the winter capital.
Police spokesman said that, a CRPF personnel namely Mohd Shafi, son of Mohd Akbar of Darhal Malkan, district Rajouri, posted at 76 Battalion stationed at Channi Himmat, had an altercation with a shopkeeper Rakesh Kumar, son of Rattan Lal of Lajpat Nagar, near Commerce College over purchase of a bag.
The duo entered into verbal dual and later CRPF personnel took out a scissors from his pocket and stabbed in the head of the shopkeeper”, spokesman said.
After getting information, Police party from Hari Market Police Post rushed to the spot and shifted the profusely bleeding shopkeeper to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), for treatment. The CRPF personnel was also arrested, he added.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Hari Market Police Post and investigation started.
