Jammu Mar 12 : A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawan, who was on leave, was martyred in a militant attack at his native village in South Kashmir’s Shopian district this evening.

He has been identified as Mukhtar Ahmad of Check Chotipora Shopian. He was fired upon by the militants at his native village this evening.
He was critically injured in the attack and was shifted to hospital for treatment where he was declared brought dead.
A massive operation has been launched against the militants responsible for the attack.
