JAMMU, Mar 11: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Bantalab near here organised a joint medical camp with FOGSI to aware the women about breast and uterus cancer.
Senior member of CRPF family Sunita Singh was chief guest and she inaugurated the camp by lightening the traditional lamp.
Inspector General of Joint Hospital of CRPF, Dr V.K Singh delivered welcome address and asked the women folk to be vigilant about the breast and uterus cancer which is spreading among the women and every woman should work for the awareness among masses so that the said disease might be eradicated.
The specialist doctors Dr Partiksha and Dr Shivika threw light over the subject and talked about ways to avoid the disease.
The programme was jointly managed by Dr Rashmi Jain, Dr Sunita Gupta and Dr Taninder.
The programme was attended by female cops and families of CRPF and the participants raised several queries regarding the breast and uterus cancer and got their doubts cleared.
The doctors said that breast and uterus cancer can be controlled in the initial stage and any woman can detect it herself.
The specialist said that an injection of Survicel Cancer is available in the market and it has 90 per cent effective rate. He said that ladies above 18 years of age can inoculate the injection for Survicel cancer.
The specialist told that treatment for these diseases is available even in the small towns too but the women have to shed off the shame over the issue.
