Srinagar, Feb 29: Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today inaugurated a Computer Lab in Vasanta Girls High School at Sheetalnath in Kralkhud here.
A CRPF spokesman said the school was badly deteriorated during floods of September 2014. “CRPF’s 132 Battalion donated computers, accessories and other related infrastructure items to rejuvenate the flood affected erstwhile Computer lab of school,” he said, adding that the event was presided over by DIG CRPF K K Sharma, in the presence of students, staff members and other officers of CRPF.
Addressing the students and staff members of school, the DIG K K Sharma emphasised on the globalization of computer education and its significance in building successful career in various fields.
“Due to violence in Kashmir valley in past few years and natural calamity like flood, technical education of students has suffered several impediments, which has affected standard of technical education among them. To contribute towards betterment of technical education among students of Kashmir, CRPF is determined to provide infrastructural support to all such needy schools where students are keen to develop their soft skills,” he added.
