JAMMU, July 1: Janipura police today arrested a criminal during a naka laid at Main Chowk, Janipura and recovered a `toka’ from his possession.
He has been identified as Kanwar Jeet Singh alias Sethi son of Suraj Mani, a resident of Old Janipura.
Police have registered a case against the accused at Janipura police station under Section 4/27 Arms Act.
Police party headed by SHO Janipura Inspector Narinder Singh made the arrest.
Miran Sahib police arrested an absconder Ghulam Rasool alias Gamma, who was evading arrested since last eight years.
Police party headed by SHO Miran Sahib Ravi Parihar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Diwakar Singh.
