JAMMU, May 15: A criminal has been arrested with revolver and live cartridges, here today.
As per police sources, on specific information, a joint team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station and Digiana Police Post laid a naka and intercepted a pedestrian, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered revolver and two live cartridges from the possession of the pedestrian and arrested him.
The arrested person has been identified as Anil Sharma alias Kali, son of Durga Dass, a resident of Bhagwati Nagar Jammu.
A case under FIR Number 123/19 under section 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagar and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia and assisted by Incharge Digiana Police Post SI Sandeep Bhagat made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Dr Sunniya Ashkoor Wani.
