AMROHA, Apr 29:
Hasin Jahan, estranged wife of cricketer Mohd Shami, was arrested here on Sunday late night after she barged into the pacer’s house where she was also involved in an argument with Shami’s mother. She was later released on bail.
Hasin Jahan reached her husband’s house in Sahaspur Ali Nagar village late on Sunday night. When her in-laws asked her to leave, she locked herself and her child in a room.
Soon after, the police was called in and when the officials failed to control the situation, they took Hasin Jahan into custody. On Monday morning she was produced before the court and was granted bail.
In March, Mohammed Shami was charged under Section 498A (dowry harassment) and 354A (sexual harassment) of Indian Penal Code (IPC) by the Kolkata Police, which submitted the charge-sheet against Indian fast bowler before the court of Alipore police. (UNI)
