Jammu, July 24: All-new stylish, premium and powerful Global SUV ‘Creta’ by country’s leading premium car manufacturer and the largest passenger car exporter Hyundai Motor India Limited. was launched at company’s affiliated showroom Pace Hyundai Jammu on Thursday.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh was the chief guest whereas senior Congress leader and former MP Janak Raj Gupta was the guest of honor on the occasion.
With the launch of Creta, Hyundai now strengthens its position in the Indian SUV market, offering wide range of products for its customers.
Speaking at the launch of Creta, CEO of Pace Hyundai Sahil Mahajan said, “We are confident Creta will strengthen Hyundai’s position in India and will lead a new trend in the SUV segment fulfilling customers’ aspiration of owning a perfect SUV.”
The Hyundai Creta combines the strengths of the brand, like smart exterior-interior design, spacious and comfortable interiors and being extremely value-for-money in a new package, according to a company’s spokesperson.
He further said that Hyundai Creta is available in 7 paint options: Sleek Silver, Star Dust (dark grey), Pearl Beige, Polar White, Red Passion, Mystic Blue and Phantom Black. The interior gets dual-tone upholstery on the top end SX(O) variant, whereas the others get all-black interiors. The exterior design is SUV-like and follows the Fluidic Sculpture 2.0 design theme which was also seen on the Santa Fe SUV. Highlights include projector headlamps, LED DRLs, three-slat chrome grille, LED indicators on the ORVMs, roof-rails, chrome door handles, 16- or 17-inch alloy wheels, front and rear faux skid-plates, rear roof-spoiler, and sleek tail-lamps. Inside, the Creta has a simple but effective design. On the top-end SX(O) variant, the leather seats, steering cover, gearshift knob, front centre armrests and door armrests give the Creta a very premium feel.
“The three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, touch screen based multimedia system with integrated navigation and reverse camera display, digital driver information display in the instrument cluster, automatic climate control system with rear A/C vents etc., make the cabin a luxurious place to be in.
There are three engines on offer: a 1.6-litre, 4-cylinder 123PS/154Nm petrol motor, a 1.4-litre, 4-cylinder 90PS/224Nm turbo-diesel motor and a 1/6-litre, 4-cylinder 128PS/265Nm variable-turbo diesel engine. While all the engines are available with 6-speed manual transmissions, the 1.6-litre diesel is also available with a 6-speed automatic transmission, he added.”
All variants of the Creta get ABS and EBD as standard and Mid-level variants offer dual front airbags, while the top-end SX gets side and curtain airbags with VSM and ESC, he added.
