JAMMU, Sept 19: Grandparents day was celebrated as a special occasion at Crescent Petals School – sister concern of Crescent Public School , here today.
Arshad Choudhary, Chairman and Tasneem Kouser, Managing Director were the chief guests on the occasion, while Pankaj Jamwal, Director was the guest of honour.
The programme commenced with tilak ceremony followed by lighting of the lamp. The programme included various cultural events like western dances, skit and games were performed by Grandparents and the Grandchildren. Parveen Gupta , Grandfather of Kalash Gandotra, Chaman Lal Anand Grandfather of Lehar Anand, Urmila Kesar Grandmother of Aadhya Khajuria, Gurbachan Lal Grandfather of Ridhi , Sunita Mehra Grandmother of Aarav Mehra , Madhu Sharma Grandmother of Shruti Sharma , Rita Kohli Grandmother of Aadhvik Kohli , Rashita Choudhary Grandmother of Ajwa was declared winners of the competition . Bhavna Kaushal, Principal of the school delivered welcome address and also reiterated that the grandparents are the greatest support system for better future of the children.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by the Co-ordinator Crescent Petals School Mrs. Alpna Dhar Pandita.
