Sir,
Apropos news item ‘ Cabinet approves 4 new TDAs’ DE Feb 14.
The decision of the State Government to create four new Tourism Development Authorities in the State is a step in right direction.
The creation of TDAs will give a boost to tourism industry in the State. There are numerous picturesque places in the State which have not been explored fully from tourism point of view. Rather the successive Governments have promoted only the familiar spots.
Bani-Basohli tourism circuit is the least explored area. There is tremendous potential for tourism if the region receives proper attention. God has endowed it with lush green meadows, snow capped mountains, and gurgling streams, but the site finds no mention on the tourist map of the State. The area remains cut off from other parts of the State due to lack of connectivity. There are no proper arrangements for lodging and boarding for tourists. No proper mobile connectivity. With the creation of TDA, Bani-Basohli, it is expected that the region may come in the eyes of tourists- local as well as non local.
Yours etc….
