Creation of employment avenues for youth Govt’s top priority: Ganga

JAMMU, Dec 18: To hear the plight of common people and to bring Government at their door steps, Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Parkash Ganga held a public grievance redressal camp at Sarore in Bishnah Constituency.
Member Legislative Council, Ashok Khajuria, Ex MLA Bishnah Ashwani Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Arun Manhas, Tehsildars of Arnia and Bishnah, BDO Bishnah, senior officers of PHE, PWD, PDD, Police and a large number of  people from Sarore and its adjoining areas were present on the occasion.
The people putforth their demands and grievances which include installation of statue of martyr Aatma Singh, upgradation of roads from Bishnah to Ratnal, Ratnal to Chakra, Sarore to Najwal, Kothe Shairu road, upgradation of Government High School to Higher Secondary level ,enhanced health facilities and improvement of power infrastructure in Sarore, addition of left out beneficiaries under BPL category in ration cards, construction of toilet complexes, construction of playground and installation of solar lights.
The Minister gave patient hearing to the demands raised by the people and issued on the spot instructions to the concerned officers for their immediate redressal. He also asked the concerned officers to submit the action taken report to the higher authorities.
The Minister directed the Rural Development Department to chalk out strategies to develop Sarore as model village cluster so that the villages would get all facilities at par with urban areas.
While addressing the meeting, Ganga said that the Government is committed to provide basic amenities in every nook and corner of the state to upgrade the living standard of the people especially those living in rural and far-off pockets. He sought people’s cooperation in effective implementation of various welfare schemes launched by the state and central government.
Maintaining that industry is one of the major sectors where large number of people can get absorbed to earn their livelihood, the Minister said that the Industries and Commerce Department is making all out efforts to generate employment opportunities for unemployed youth.
On the occasion, MLC Ashok Khajuria, announced funds for installation of statue of martyr Atma Singh in Sarore from his Constituency Development Fund (CDF).
