KISHTWAR, Sept 10: A meeting of Chinar Power Projects Workers Union (CPPWU) held today under the chairmanship of Joginder Bhandari, strongly criticized the State Government for not taking action against the GVK management for leaving the execution work of Rattle HE project half way without any reason.
Joginder Bhandari said that the GVK management was assigned the execution of Rattle HE project on Build, Own, Operate and Transfer (BOOT) basis for a period of 35 years and the said client suspended its work on the project and consequently 493 workers were retrenched in July last 2014 and now the GVK management has almost winded up all its machinaries and all the agreements with school buses and accommodations with the owners of land stands cancelled and the State Government is mute spectator of the situation.
