This has reference to the news item ‘India boycotts China’s B&R meet’ DE May 15, 2017.
India has done well by not participating in China’s high-profile Belt and Road Forum- a project not in the interest of the country. Though planned as an economic initiative, it hides more than it reveals. It is construed as an attempt by China to play a big role in world economy and to contain India.
China is embarking on a mission to harm the interest of India in one way or other. Right now it is arming Pakistan tooth to nail to rattle India. The CPEC, commonly known China Pakistan Economic Corridor is one of the means to do so. Not only India, but even people of Balochistan are against the project since the time it was initiated. By involving 29 other countries in the project, China is only trying to bring legitimacy to an otherwise illegal project.
As the project would run through illegally occupied Kashmir, India is right to object the project. The other countries participating in the project would be doing the same mistake as is China doing now.
