COVID vaccination center inaugurated in ASCOMS

JAMMU, Jan 28: Financial Commissioner, Health & Medical Education, Atal Dulloo inaugurated COVID-19 vaccination center at Acharya Shri Chander College of Medical Sciences (ASCOMS) & Hospital, Sidhra, here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Atal Dulloo said that staff of ASCOMS has effectively managed COVID patients. He hoped that COVID vaccination center of the Institution will work as per Government guidelines.
Giving details of the vaccination programme, he said till date more than 15,000 persons including Health workers have been vaccinated in J&K. He further informed that 18 more centers are being permitted to start vaccination in Jammu Province.
Later, Dulloo along with the team of the Health Department comprising Director Health Jammu and Deputy CMO Jammu took a round of the Hospital. The team also visited COVID-19 testing laboratory of the Hospital.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Pavan Malhotra, Director Principal, said that under the dynamic leadership of the Financial Commissioner, Jammu and Kashmir has been able to control the COVID-19 disease in a very scientific and stepwise manner.
Earlier, while presenting welcome address, Dr Ravinder Kumar Gupta (Nodal Officer of Vaccination Center and Prof & HoD Paediatrics ASCOMS & Hospital) appraised the dignitaries about the arrangements made by the Institution for COVID-19 vaccination. He also said that the Institution is strictly following the guidelines set by Government of India for COVID vaccination.
