JAMMU: All 26 positive cases of Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), which were under treatment in different hospitals, have recovered, an official here said on Thursday.
“There was 26 cases left in the Jammu district, which were being treated and after fresh tests, they all have been tested negative,” said an official.
Meanwhile Deputy Commissioner Jammu Sushma Chauhan here said, “with declaration of all 26 cases negative and their recovery, the district cannot be declared as “COVID free” as in prevailing situation it would be wrong saying so.”
She however, said that random sampling is in progress and all required measures are being taken.
However, a senior police official said that restrictions remain in force amidst lockdown and no relaxation is being given barring those as per MHA guidelines. (agencies)
