JAMMU, Dec 1: Additional Sessions Judge Doda Amarjeet Singh Langeh has taken serious note of investigation conducted in attempt to murder case in a very casual and slip shod manner leaving yawning infirmities and issued directions for forwarding the copy of the judgment to the Director General of Police for information.
The court was dealing with a case of attempt to murder whereby court held that prosecution has not been able to prove charges against accused by leading cogent, reliable and trustworthy evidence. Suspicion howsoever strong cannot be a substitute for proof beyond reasonable doubt, the court said and accordingly dismissed the challan.
Moreover, court acquitted accused namely Gandhi Lal, Pritam Singh and Sheela Devi.
