Court frames charges against Patwari, 2 others in forgery case

JAMMU, Oct 3: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu, Rakesh Sagar Jain has framed charges against Mohd Iqbal, the then Patwari Halqa Sunjwan and two other persons namely Mubarak Ali and Swar Ali in a forgery case.
These accused persons had cheated the complainant Abdul Rashid Wani and his daughter Aisha by way of forging the Girdawari of 2 kanals of land at village Sunjwan in 1999.
After hearing both the sides, Principal Sessions Judge observed, “prima facie case is made out against Patwari Mohd Iqbal and two other persons Mubarak Ali and Swar Ali”, adding “they hatched a criminal conspiracy  and in furtherance of the same forged the register Girdawari and made fictitious entry in the name of accused Swar Ali and Mubarak Ali in 1999 in respect of land measuring 2 kanals in Survey No.1 min situated at village Sunjwan”.
Accordingly, the accused were charged for the offences under Sections 120B/420/467/468/471 RPC.
