Court directs IG to appear in person

JAMMU, Apr 19: In the much publicized Bapu Asaram’s Bhagwati Nagar Ashram case, Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Rajesh Sekri today directed the Inspector General of Police to appear in the court on April 21.
After hearing Senior Advocate M K Sharma with Advocate Gagan Kohli appearing for the complainant whereas Special PP Sunil Sethi appearing for the State, the court observed, “on the last date of hearing direction was passed to Inspector General of Police to appear before the court but due to the visit of Prime Minister he was busy as such exemption was sought”.
While directing the IGP Jammu to appear on April 21, the court asked the SIT Incharge to arrest the rest of the accused as early as possible.
