JAMMU, May 18: Principal Sessions Judge Jammu Kartar Singh today rejected the bail application of one Narinder Kumar, son of Tarsem Lal of R S Pura, who was facing trial along with other accused in a murder case.
According to the police case, on March 20, 2011 Narinder Kumar, his father Tarsem Lal along with other persons launched murderous attack on Pyare Lal over an old enmity leading to the death of Pyare Lal.
After hearing both the sides and going through the prosecution case, Principal Sessions Judge observed, “prosecution has cited 20 witnesses in support of its case and out of them only three witnesses have been examined as yet. There is prima facie evidence against the petitioner for the commission of alleged offences which disentitles him to bail at this stage”.
“The alleged offences are punishable with imprisonment for life or death penalty and attract embargo on bail created by Section 497 CrPC”, the Court observed while rejecting the bail application.
