JAMMU, June 18: Presiding Officer Fast Track Court, Y P Kotwal today rejected bail application of one Shamas Din, who was booked by the police in gang rape case.
After hearing both the sides, Presiding Officer observed, “the investigation is at initial stage and in case accused is released on bail, he will jump over the bail and hamper and tamper with the prosecution witnesses”.
“Moreover, release of the accused at this stage and their remaining outside will cause deleterious effect on the minds of general public and thwart the cause of justice”, he added.
