JAMMU, Nov 30: Second Additional Sessions Judge Jammu Virender Singh Bhou today rejected the bail application of Sandeep Gulati and Shailendra Gulati, who are in the custody of Crime Branch since November 17 for duping complainant of over Rs 12 crore.
After hearing Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi along with Advocates Pranav Kohli and Aftab Malik for the applicants whereas APP with Senior Advocate PN Raina with Advocates Yaseer Ejaz Tak and Rajat Gupta for the State and complainant, the court observed, “the nature of allegations, the evidence collected by the investigating agency and possibility of accused winning over the material witnesses and jumping over the bail cannot be ruled out”.
“There are reasonable grounds for believing that there is prima facie involvement of accused persons for commission of alleged offence which is discernible at this stage and there are sufficient grounds for further investigation because investigation cannot be presumed as concluded at this stage and pending investigation accused persons do not deserve to be released on bail”, the court said.
