JAMMU, Mar 11: RS Pura Police arrested a couple for trying to kill a child.
As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by a child with Police Station RS Pura stating that a person identified as Shoket Ali, son of Sheikh Ansar Ali of Hoogly West Bengal at present Ward Number 1, RS Pura along with his wife Arifa Begum has forced him in labour work.
“The couple beat me often and also abuse me”, the complainant said, adding that the couple today attacked him with the intention to kill him.
Acting over the complaint, a case under FIR Number 46/2021 under Sections 307, 323 and 34 IPC and 14 Child Labour Act and Protection of Child Act was registered at Police Station RS Pura and the accused involved in the case were arrested.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO RS Pura Inspector Jai Pal Sharma made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura Shabir Khan.
