REASI, Mar 16: District Police Reasi has apprehending three Facebook hackers, including a local, who had created fake IDs of the complainant, his wife and sister on the social site and were posting vulgar messages for defaming the victims in society.
The arrested accused were identified as Rahul Jain, his wife Kirti Jain, resident of H No 18, Laxmi Nagar Gonear Road, Loniayaws, Jaipur Rajasthan and Parvinder Singh alias Rocky (driver by profession), son of Dewan Singh of Seela Reasi, who happens to be a close relative of the complainant.
A case FIR number 216/2018, under Section 66c IT Act , 509 RPC has been registered in this connection at Police Station Reasi and the matter is being investigated further by SHO Ashwani Sharma.
The matter came into light when complainant Varinder Singh lodged a written complaint at Police Station Reasi on 25-12-2018 that some unknown persons had hacked his Facebook account and created his fake ID and IDs of his wife and sister and were posting his family photographs and vulgar messages thus defaming the whole family in the society.
On basis of the complaint, a special Police team, led by SHO Ashwani Sharma, acted very professionally and identified the culprits by getting the IP addresses of these fake IDs retrieved from Facebook. The accused couple was arrested from their native place at Jaipur on court warrant and were brought to Reasi. On their disclosure, the third accused, Parvinder Singh alias Rocky was also arrested later on.
During investigation, it came to the light that the said couple had once visited Reasi and exchanged their phone numbers with the complainant. Later they managed to contact with the third accused Parvinder Singh through the friend list of Facebook account of the complainant. Parvinder Singh alias Rocky, in connivance with the accused couple, used to provide the family photographs and phone numbers of the complainant just to defame the victim family.
