JAMMU, Mar 26: Lt Gen (Retd) Rakesh Kumar Sharma, State spokesperson of BJP and Incharge of Defence, Security and Soldiers issues today said that to make New India the country needs a strong leader like Modi.
He was addressing Sampark meetings at Naushera, Rajouri and Poonch. A large number of Ex Servicemen from the area and civilians attended the meetings.
Speaking on the occasion, Lt Gen Sharma touched upon the ushering of New India, developmental projects in the country over last 4-5 years, special impetus to J&K in general and Jammu Region in particular, image of the country, security situation, way forward for rooting out militancy in J&K and actions like 7th Pay Commission, OROP, Make in India, etc for the soldiers.
Highlighting the recent Balakot Air Strike in Pakistan, he said that this was possible due a strong political resolve for the first time and this has transformed the image of India from a Soft State to a Strong State in world community.
