Country is indebted by services of Corona warriors: Rotary Club

JAMMU, May 8: While acknowledging and saluting services of Corona warriors, president of Rotary Club Jammu Tawi president, Raman Sherpuri today said that the country is really indebted by services of these Corona warriors.
He said while people are spending time with their families in their homes, Corona warriors including police personnel, doctors, paramedics, safai karamcharis are out of their homes and playing their respective roles with full dedication to protect us from Coronavirus pandemic.
Sherpuri was speaking during a simple function organized today to honour IGP Jammu Mukesh Singh, DIG Bhim Sen Tuti and SSP Jammu Shridhar Patil. They were presented citations and certificates by the Rotarian Ashok Kumar Gupta (retired IGP), Raman Sherpuri, District Governor, Dr Dushyant Chaudhary and Rotarian Parveen Singh.
“Police has to perform many duties. Despite other commitments, J& K police has played a major role in the fight against COVID-19,” Sherpuri said. He said that commencing from tomorrow every day Rotary volunteer teams will fan out in different parts of the city and will be honoring all the frontline COVID warriors especially police personnel, sweepers, sanitary workers and municipality officers.
While speaking on the occasion, IGP Mukesh Singh said that he is happy that society has recognized role of police and other COVID warriors, who have been working tirelessly since imposition of first lockdown.
