KATHUA, July 23: The Councilors of Municipal Council Kathua led by its president, Naresh Sharma sat on protest dharna in front of Women Police Station against misbehavior of police with a councilor, Joginder Kumar. They sat on dharna for one hour and raised slogans in favour of their demands.
They were demanding the suspension or transfer of two police personnel posted in Women Police Station, Kathua.
President MC, Kathua, Naresh Sharma said that one day earlier a councilors Joginder Kumar visited to Women Cell in case of family dispute to solve it amicably. But the Haveldar and Munshi of the Cell misbehaved with councilor. They also submitted a complaint to SSP Kathua. When they did not get justice, they sat on protest dharna.
On seeing the councilors on protest dharna, DySP Shammi Kumar and SHO OP Chib reached on dharna site and assured them justice. Later on their assurance they lifted the dharna.
