SAMBA, May 28: As there has been an out cry over drinking water in the town and the councilors of different wards of Samba town met with the officers of Jal Shakti Department in his office over the issue of the water crisis in Samba town.
The councillors of different wards of Samba met with departmental officers and complained about the shortage of drinking water in the town. It is worth mentioning that as the summer comes, there is a cry of drinking water in the town and people are supplied drinking water after a gap of five to six days.
During the summer days, the people have to face a lot of trouble due to scarcity of drinking water and they have to bring water by paying a private price. Due to lack of water sources, there is difficulty in making the supply of drinking water in the town smooth. People have been coming to the streets every summer with drinking water.
Parshad Indu Jamwal, Anuradha, Rajni Sambyal, Narendra Singh, Raj Singh, Uttam Chand, Maheshbar Raj etc all councilors said that there is a huge problem of drinking water in the town. Departmental officers do not take responsibility and sometimes the problem is due electricity fault or sometimes the department imposes blame on the Mechanical Department due to which people are put to trouble.
They said the officials about the shortage of drinking water in the town, on which the department official Shiv Kumar Abrol assured that efforts are being made to provide a smooth supply of drinking water in the town. Soon the shortage of water should be removed.
