LEH, June 24: Councillor Phyang Tundup Nurbu called on the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh RK Mathur at Raj Niwas today and raised various issues related to his constituency.
Phyang sought intervention of the LG in the resurfacing/widening of the road from Diskitling Palam to Spituk Farkha, construction of the road from Langzermo to Saboo Phu, blacktopping & construction of the internal roads in Choglamsar village and the construction of footpaths on the bypass road from Mahabodhi International Meditation Centre (MIMC) Gate to Saboo Gate.
The Councillor Phyang also requested the LG for resurfacing the road in Saboo village under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) and realignment of the Choglamsar Bridge to its previous height. He also raised several issues related to the development of his constituency, viz. providing provisional admission to students in Government Degree College Leh, recruitment of unemployed youth in Border Police battalion, etc.
