Sir,
Refer news item ‘Govt proposes to make offence non-bailable, increase jail term ‘ Nov 20.
Corruption which is at its peak right now has made the life of people quite miserable. No aspect of life has remained untouched with this malaise.
From a peon to officer, everyone is involved in this affair. Corruption has seeped so much in our soul that it is corroding our social and moral life. In this unholy affair no one is loser than the poor man who does not have any reach to corridors of power or access to natural resources.
Though there are sufficient laws to deal with this menace, it is their faulty implementation that ultimately lets the fish off the hook. Enacting stringent laws in this connection will of course keep corruption at bay but it will not help remove corruption from society. It is for implementing agencies to implement the lawn enacted which may keep corrupt in a tight spot. Once they serve the cause of law, law in turn will serve the society.
Yours etc….
