JAMMU, June 30: Marking a significant advent of technology into the tourism of the State, CoRover Private Limited, a Bangalore based tech startup, today announced the launch of its new mobile app, CoRover Connect, which aims at connecting pilgrims of Shri Amarnath Yatra together.
With this app, CoRover has become the first company to have launched an app for revered Amarnath Yatra.
The app was launched by Manav Gandotra, Head, India Operations, CoRover Private Limited.
Terming the launch as a milestone for company and tourism of state alike, Gandotra stated that such an app is indispensable for shrines like Amarnath, especially with unpredictable, difficult and varying weather conditions the journey offers.
This application will be the official app of Jammu and Kashmir Tourism for Amarnath Yatra and will ensure a safer, more convenient and pleasing journey, for its users who can connect with each other and with the staff of Yatra via group and private messages. In addition to text messages, users can also share their location and images with each other.

Gandotra explained that CoRover Connect app is a platform for bringing the travelers and tourists together and can be adapted to suit multiple establishments, shrines and journeys in any part of the world.
“This is our sincere attempt at bringing the travellers closer to each other, without intruding too much in each others personal space. While two persons might not be comfortable in sharing their Facebook profiles or mobile numbers, they certainly need to be connected with each other in a journey, for various reasons. This is where our app bridges the gap”, he said.
The app include panic button, call a doctor, internet-less chat, official communication, share, information broadcast, all travel needs and community building, Gandotra informed.
