Coriander, turmeric fall on subdued demand

NEW DELHI, June 11:  Coriander and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 per quintal in the national capital today owing to subdued demand from retailers and stockists coupled with adequate stocks.
Coriander and turmeric prices fell by Rs 100 each to conclude at Rs 7,400-13,900 and Rs 8,800-12,600 per quintal, respectively.
Marketmen said subdued demand from retailers and stockists against adequate stocks, mainly pulled down coriander and turmeric prices.
Following are today’s quotations (in Rs):
Ajwain (per kg) 175-240, black pepper (per kg) 710-850, betel-nut (kg) 230-280, cardamom brown-Jhundiwali (kg) 1,350-1,360 and cardamom brown-Kanchicut (kg) 1,400-1,600.
Cardamom small (kg): Chitridar 565-745, cardamom (colour robin) 575-585, cardamom bold 595-620, cardamom extra (bold) 695-725 and cloves 550-665. (PTI)
