Decision on power tariff

JAMMU, June 30: The Core Committee of All Party Migrant Camps Action Committee held an emergency meeting, wherein it was discussed that the migrants residing in all camps of Jammu district have been apprised regarding the recent meeting held by the district administration and Relief Organisation, along with Power Development Corporation authorities regarding the electricity bills.
The meeting discussed that All Migrant Action Committee will wait as per the advice of the administration, till a concrete and permanent solution of the matter is worked out and communicated to the Committee by the Government through the district administration.
The meeting resolved that till then the migrants may wait and watch for the result of the meeting and as assured by the administration till then Power supply to camps will not be disturbed. The meeting decided that until the final decision is not conveyed by the district administration, no further course of action will be declared by the Committee. The meeting also cautioned the general residents of all migrant camps to remain vigilant from some mischievous agencies bent to create confusion among the people and declared that no any Committee other than All Party Action Committee Migrant Camps is fighting for revoking of the orders for charging electricity bills from migrants. The meeting apprehended that some black sheep are trying to damage the initiated struggle for achieving the one point goal.
It also requested the Government for revoking the orders of charging electricity bills from people in exile living in camps at an earliest, as discussed in detail while holding a meeting with the district administration at Jammu.
