Copper, zinc weaken on reduced industrial offtake

NEW DELHI, Apr 20:  Prices of copper and zinc slide by Rs 2 per kg on the local non-ferrous metals market today on reduced industrial offtake and a reports of weak global trend.
Traders said reduced industrial demand and reports of a weak global trend mainly led to decline in copper and zinc prices.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and zinc ingot fell by Rs 2 each to Rs 418 and Rs 115-121 per kg, respectively.
The following are metal rates per kg:
Zinc ingot 115-121, nickel plate (4×4) 1,045-1,048, gun metal scrap 227, bell metal scrap 229, copper mixed scrap 418, chadri deshi 285.
Lead ingot 138, lead imported 136, aluminium ingots 140, sheet cutting 141, aluminium wire scrap 144 and aluminium utensils scrap 140. (PTI)
