NEW DELHI, Sept 4: Buoyed by a firm global trend and increased domestic demand, copper prices rose 0.19 per cent to Rs 425.35 per kg in futures trade today.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, copper for delivery in far-month November traded higher by 80 paise, 0.19 per cent, to Rs 425.35 per kg in business turnover of 193 lots.
Globally, copper for delivery in three months added 0.30 per cent to USD 6,923.0 a tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
Market analysts said besides increased demand from consuming industries, a firming overseas trend after data signalled improving economic conditions in the US and China, the biggest metals consumers, mainly influenced copper prices at futures trade. (PTI)
