Copper edges up on scattered demand

NEW DELHI, May 5: Copper prices inched up by Rs 2 per kg at the non-ferrous metal market today due to mild demand from consuming industries.
Traders attributed the rise in copper prices to some demand from consuming industries at domestic spot market.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap edged up by Rs 2 to Rs 432 per kg.
Following are today’s metal rates (in Rs per kg):
Zinc ingot Rs 130-136, nickel plate (4×4) Rs 844-849, gun metal scrap Rs 227, bell metal scrap Rs 229, copper mixed scrap Rs 432, chadri deshi Rs 295.
Lead ingot Rs 131, lead imported Rs 138, aluminium ingots Rs 160, aluminium sheet cutting Rs 156, aluminium wire scrap Rs 156 and aluminium  utensils scrap Rs 154. (PTI)
