UDHAMPUR, Oct 17: Alleged negligence of Power Development Department led to electrocution of a Cop riding Scooty when he came in contact with 11 KV electric wire lying on road near Supply Morh Udhampur, last evening.
The deceased was identified as SgCt Subash Singh (39), son of Sant Ram, resident of village Ferna, Udhampur and presently posted in Police Academy Udhampur.
He was on way to home from the Police Academy when his Scooty came in contact with 11KV electric wire, which was lying on road due to alleged negligence of PDD.
He reportedly died on the spot and later his body was shifted to District Hospital, Udhampur for postpartum. After completion of all the legal formalities, the body was handed over to the family members for last rites.
