Coordination Committee of Power Employees Unions discusses demands

JAMMU, Dec 17: Jammu and Kashmir Coordination Committee of Power Employees Unions today discussed the demands of the employees in its meeting held today under the chairmanship of Balbir Singh Jamwal (1st term Chairman of the Coordination Committee).
The meeting was attended by general secretary Deep Mehra, Manjit Singh (president, Provincial Power Employees and Workers Union), Kulvir Singh (president, J&K Electrical Employees Union), Balbir Singh (president, Draftsman Diploma Holders Association), Jasbir Singh (president, ITI Dipolma Holder Union) and Yograj Singh (president, J&K Electrical Employees Union PDL/TDL Jammu province).
Addressing the meeting, Balbir Singh Jamwal listed all the demands of the employees viz. DPC of Technician 3rd final seniority list already approved by the Chief Engineer JPDCL, DPC of all cadre, release of 2 ½ days salary in favour of all non-gazetted employees, regularization of PDL/TDL of electrical employees, upgradation of Head Computer as rank of gazette officer, exception of type test/computer test secretariat level training, etc.
He also highlighted other demands like free electricity for all employees of PDD department, issuance of clarification regarding uniform implementation of SRO 14 of 1996 SRO-225 of 1997 by providing functional pay scales in accordance with SRO-381 of 1981 PDD rules and handing over the control of Employees Welfare Funds to concerned Managing Director/Chief Engineer for proper disposal and distribution.
Jamwal appealed the Government to fulfill its demands at the earliest.
