JAMMU, Mar 23: Social activist and national working committee member of Anna Hazare Movement, Tarun Uppal urged the Lieutenant Governor, GC Murmu that there is dire need to do a lot more to combat the coronavirus in the newly carved Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement issued here today, Uppal appreciated J&K administration for doing yeomen’s job in fighting against COVID-19 but said the present health infrastructure of J&K is not well equipped to handle this deadly disease as it has not enough hospitals for quarantine process.
He appealed to the Lt Governor to issue orders with regard to vacating all the bungalows and buildings occupied by the former legislators in Jammu and Kashmir to make them isolation centres.
