DODA, May 19: Low Paid Employees Federation here today organised a convention which was presided over by the Federation president, Kabala Singh.
A large number of activists and employees attended the convention and discussed many issues faced by the low paid employees in J&K.
Inadequate salaries, lack of job security and insufficient government support were the issues raised.
Kabala Singh while speaking on the occasion claimed that both the State and the Central Governments have failed to address the pressing needs of the employee community and the successive governments at both the State and Central have consistently ignored the plight of low paid employees.
“Their inaction has only exacerbated our hardships,” Singh maintained.
Highlighting Federation’s ongoing efforts, a booklet was released at the convention showcasing organization’s achievements.
The convention concluded with a renewed call for government accountability and immediate action to alleviate the hardships faced by the low paid employees.
The event underscored the urgent need for effective governmental intervention to ensure the well-being of all employees.
