KISHTWAR, Dec 7: The control panel of a mobile tower was gutted in fire here today.
As per police sources, the battery kept in the control panel of a tower being operated by a private mobile service provider caught fire and later spread to other equipments also.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and fire tenders were pressed into service to douse the flames.
After hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control and saved from spreading to nearby areas.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, while exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered at Kishtwar police station and investigation started.
