JAMMU, Nov 5: All J&K Technical Education Department Lecturers on contractual, consolidated and academic arrangements observed indefinite pen down strike at Government Polytechnic College, Bikram Chowk.
Amid slogans the lecturers were demanding revision of basic salary with grade pay as per the 6th Pay Commission with retrospective benefits, adjustment of 15 casual leave, release of salary during vacations and issuance of order to the newly appointed contractual lecturers/ academic arrangements.
They urged Commissioner Secretary and Director Technical Education to redress their demands at the earliest.
