SAMBA, July 29: Contractors today staged protest demonstration outside the office of Executive Engineer Industrial Growth Centre Bari Brahmana for their long pending dues, here today.
They were chanting slogans against the J&K State Industrial Development Corporation (SIDCO) and in favour of their demands and alleged that two years back, they executed works in the Industrial Estate Phase-III but the concerned Authority still not cleared their dues.
The project comprising of road network, drainage network, water distribution system, flood protection and common facilities was initiated in the year of 2017 with the estimated cost of Rs 23.32 crores which was approved by the J&K Government under Languishing Projects but due to indifferent attitude of the department concerned, the bills of the carried out works still not uploaded on JKIDFC portal for the payment.
