SAMBA, Nov 26: Contractors Association today demanded release of their pending payments.
Addressing a press conference, Sugreev Singh and Sushil Singh flayed the district administration for not paying their pending payments.
They said that around 40 contractors in Samba district have done Government work of crores of rupees, but after the month of March this year, they have not been paid a single rupee till date.
“We have taken bank loans and it has become very difficult to pay the installments”, they said, adding that due to non-payments of work done payments, their families are also facing manifold problems.
They demanded immediate release of their pending payments so that contractors have some sigh of relief.
Among others present were Rajeev Singh, Kulbhushan Singh, Ved Kishore Gupta, Sanjeev Singh, Joginder Singh, Kulbhushan Singh and Vijay Singh.
