‘Continue Toll suspension till lockdown lasts’

JAMMU, Apr 20: J&K Unit of Shiv Sena Balasaheb Thackeray has demanded continuance of the exemption of Toll Plazas till lockdown.
In a handout the J&K president of Shiv Sena, Manish Sahni said on March 25 the central Government had announced to temporarily suspend Toll collection on national highways till April 20 to ease emergency services in view of the Coronavirus outbreak.
He said that the lockdown across the country is still intact so the central Government and National Highways Authority of India should take back the decision to resume Toll collection on National Highways.
Sahni said that during this time only the vehicles providing emergency services are plying on roads and the Toll collection may affect these services.
Meanwhile, the Shiv Sena leaders continued distribution of ration to poor and helpless people at Mere Charka, Bari Brahmana.
Shiv Sena leaders also got Ward 7 of Bari Brahmana sanitized.
On this occasion, Shiv Sena Secretary, Raj Singh; Sarpanch, Madhu Charak; Secretary, Raju Salaria and Pawan Singh were also present.
