Again the offices are shifting from Srinagar to Jammu after six months . They shall again move back to Srinagar after an equal period of time. Each time files, books, almirahs, papers, etc are transported , loaded and unloaded.
This is now become irrelevant and out of date . The practice used to be to enjoy cool summers in Srinagar and warm winters in Jammu by the erstwhile Dogra rulers of the state when the number of officers and the employees were less and could be counted on finger tips. The position has changed drastically now and this Shahi practice needs to be stopped now..
