Contact with militants in Rajouri hills

JAMMU, Aug 14: Security forces reportedly established contact with militants at Sujan Hill between Targain and Samot under the jurisdiction of Budhal police station in Rajouri district tonight.
After martyrdom of four Army soldiers including a JCO and injuries to two others, one of them a Major, at Parghal in Darhal area of Rajouri on August 11, Army, paramilitary forces and police had launched hunt for militants at other places.
While both the fidayeen who attacked Army camp in Darhal were eliminated by the troops during four-hour long operation, there were reports that some more militants might have infiltrated into Rajouri district.
Sources said a joint team of Army, Special Operations Group (SOG) and police reportedly came in contact with militants, believed to be three to four in numbers, at Sujan Hill tonight.
However, there were no immediate reports of any casualties.
More security personnel have been rushed to the spot to ensure that the militants don’t manage to escape.
However, there was no official word from police.
