SRINAGAR, Nov 23: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National spokesperson and former Union Minister Syed Shahnawaz Hussain today said that the constitutional change in J&K has opened doors for the peace, progress and development of the entire UT.
“The complete integration of J&K has opened new doors of industrial and economic development in the union territory. The youth of J&K will now get jobs and opportunities for their better future,” said Hussain while addressing a public rally at Khanbal in Anantnag.
Hussain was accompanied party leader and chairperson Waqf Development Committee Dr Darakhshan Andrabi and BJP State vice president and ex-MLC Sofi Yousuf. Earlier, they led the party rally at Sirigufwara where they campaigned for the Sirigufwara BDC Candidate Rifat Yousuf. Party representatives Manzoor Bhat and Asif Masoodi were also part of the rallies.
In his address, former Union Minister Syed Shahnawaz said that it was the opportune time for the people of J&K to go for a change of representatives from the looters to the people who want the progress and prosperity of masses.
In her speeches, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said that those who are crying foul on the new political and constitutional order of J&K now are in reality wailing for the lost paradise of corruption, scams, loot and extortion. She said that thousands of kanals of the land of J&K was grabbed by the politicians, their supports and relatives and shamelessly legalized by the Roshni Act.
“See everybody involved will be punished and the process has started to retrieve the grabbed land. Many such scams are being unearthed soon. Many of the political rudalis are destined to go to jail,” said Dr Darakhshan while appealing the people to vote for change.
Dr Andrabi gave details about the new job opportunities being created by the Government as per the new holistic development plan chalked out by the Lieutenant Governor administration as per the directions of the Central Government led by Narendra Modi.
Sofi Yousuf asked people to vote for development and peace for the first time in J&K.
