JAMMU, June 17: Thathri Development Front leader Kuldeep Kumar Rao has demanded constitution of Delimitation Commission and rotation of reserved Assembly constituencies in the State besides suitable amendment in the latest amended State Panchayati Raj Act.
In a handout Rao urged upon the Governor to amend the Panchayati Raj Act, in such a manner that any person may file nomination, for Block Development Council elections, whose name is entered in any Panchayat Halqa in that Block.
He asked Congress, NPP & BJP leaders that who helped Farooq Abdullah Government in February 2002 to make amendment in the State Constitution to bar delimitation of Assembly constituencies for more than three decades?
